Dr. Minton was born in Belle Fourche, SD, and grew up in Utah. He attended the University of Wyoming, and graduated with a B.S. in Zoology. He attended medical school at the University of Colorado’s Health Sciences Center, and began his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver Colorado, which he completed in 1988. Dr. Minton has been a partner at Westside Women’s Care in Wheat Ridge and Arvada for the last 30 years. In 2010, Dr. Minton had the distinction of holding the office of president of the medical staff at Lutheran Medical Center. Dr. Minton started in private practice in 1988 at Westside Women's Care, where he has provided comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services for women of all ages, keeping generations of women healthy at each stage of womanhood.

Dr. Minton is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He is also among a distinct group of established medical doctors who have completed the highly regarded Cenegenics Physician Training where he received his Certification in Age Management Medicine.

Among his many certifications, Dr. Minton is also a certified BioTE Medical practitioner, providing Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. In addition, he is also certified in aesthetic medicine, allowing him to provide procedures that can significantly improve his patient’s quality of life, psychological wellbeing and social engagement.

In addition to delivering thousands of babies, Dr. Minton has successfully completed more than 550 robotic surgical procedures. In his free time you can find Dr. Minton sailing, scuba diving, or at the theater. Always up for an adventure, Dr. Minton reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2011. He is a history buff and will be participating in the Band of Brothers Tour in the fall of 2019. Dr. Minton is married with six children and two grandchildren.
